Webbing Procurement FAQ
Author:
1. What is your MOQ?
MOQ varies by webbing process and product type: a new style typically starts at 3,000 yards; some factories can accept 1,000 yards for regular styles — subject to factory confirmation. Small trial orders are welcome; please contact us for details.
2. Can you send samples? How are sample fees handled?
Samples of existing products are provided free of charge (shipping to be arranged by agreement); custom sampling requires a sample fee, refundable against the bulk order.
3. What is your lead time?
Samples typically 7–10 days; complex patterns may take 15 days or more. Bulk production is generally 20–30 days, depending on quantity and process. Final lead times are confirmed per order.
4. Do you offer OEM/ODM? Can you weave custom patterns?
Yes. We support development from customer drawings or samples; jacquard webbing can be developed to your pattern. Pattern complexity and tooling fees will be confirmed in advance.
5. Which materials do you offer? How do I choose between nylon and polyester?
We offer nylon, polyester, acrylic, and blended webbing. Choose nylon for load-bearing and abrasion resistance, polyester for outdoor weather resistance, and acrylic for decorative purposes — see our material comparison guide.
6. Can width and thickness be customized? What are the ranges?
Yes. Typical width range is 10–100mm (wider than this cannot be produced on standard webbing looms); thickness is mostly 0.2–5mm, depending on the product. Please provide your specification for a quotation.
7. What about colorfastness and environmental standards?
Colorfastness testing can be arranged per your requirements, and environmental test reports (RoHS, REACH, etc.) can be provided depending on the items and cost. Please confirm requirements before ordering.
8. What is the difference between pre-dyed and post-dyed webbing?
Pre-dyeing colors the yarn before weaving, giving uniform color and better colorfastness — ideal for color-sensitive orders. Post-dyeing finishes the fabric after weaving at lower cost. We primarily use pre-dyeing for production.
9. Why do prices vary so much for similar webbing?
Differences come from material, yarn quality, weave structure, dyeing and finishing processes, and quality control standards. Evaluate price together with quality rather than unit price alone.
10. How do you ensure bulk quality?
We implement full-process control — raw material inspection, weaving, ironing, and final inspection — with third-party testing when necessary. Pre-shipment inspection can be arranged, and test reports can be provided as agreed.
